Yesterday, September 10th, saw influential post-hardcore band Refused announce the coming end to the second act of their career. The group, who originally disbanded in 1998 and returned in 2012, are moving forward with plans to call it quits in 2025 following the conclusion of some farewell touring, including a North American leg with Quicksand.
Before they hang it up though, a 25th anniversary vinyl pressing of the band’s 1998 magnum opus The Shape Of Punk To Come” will arrive on November 08th. As a companion piece to that effort, a tribute album titled “The Shape Of Punk To Come Obliterated” will also be featured. It will find various artists taking on the songs from the aforementioned Refused album. In the below newly shared video, you can now hear previews of several of those renditions.
“The Shape Of Punk To Come Obliterated” track listing:
01 – GEL – “Worms Of The Senses / Faculties Of The Skull”
