Just over a year ago Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross released their take on John Carpenter‘s classic theme to his 1978 film ‘Halloween‘. That single will now get a limited edition orange vinyl release on October 26th with pre-orders up now at this location. Reznor previously commented of the track:
“I clearly remember my friends and I at 13 years old conning our parents into letting us see ‘Halloween‘ when it came out in 1978.
We left the theater forever changed. We were damaged and scarred, with the shit genuinely scared out of us and that theme stuck firmly in our heads.
John Carpenter, it’s your fault that I turned out the way I did.”
Tomorrow, October 19th, will see the opening of a new ‘Halloween‘ film which serves as a sequel reboot of sorts for the series, ignoring the subsequent sequels that followed after the first film.
