Counterparts have launched a video for their track “Selfishly I Sink from their new EP “Private Room“. That effort features some b-sides that didn’t make the cut during the recording sessions for the band’s previous two efforts. Pure Noise Records will have the EP in stores on September 07th. The group’s vocalist Brendan Murphy commented of this latest track:
“‘Selfishly I Sink‘ is one of the few b-sides from ‘You’re Not You Anymore‘. Although it doesn’t really have a place on the record I’m still excited that the song finally gets to see the light of day. Lyrically, it’s a song about forcing yourself to find love where it doesn’t exist. It’s about trying to fill a void with things that are equally as empty.”
As previously reported, the band will be out on this North American tour starting next month with Being As An Ocean, Have Mercy and Varials.
