Paradise Lost have set a November 20th release date through Century Media for their new live album, “Symphony For The Lost“. It was filmed back in September of 2014 and finds the band performing at the Plovdiv Roman theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, backed by the Orchestra of State Opera Plovdiv and Rodna Pesen Choir. Vocalist Nick Holmes commented:
“We have recorded elements of orchestration many times in the studio over the last two decades, as many of our songs lend themselves well to classical arrangement. However, we have never before had the chance to play with a real orchestra in a live situation, so it was very exciting to have the opportunity to play with the Plovdiv Philharmonic and doing that in such a prestigious location as the Roman theatre.”
In addition to a 2-CD/1-DVD deluxe edition, a 2-LP/DVD set will also be released with various limited edition colored pressings. A trailer has been launched and can be seen below:
