It was previously thought that a trademark dispute between members of Immortal had spelled the end of the band. As it turns out, Demonaz and Horgh will continue on under the Immortal moniker without singer/guitarist Abbath, who has since launched his own eponymous project. The pair said of their plans to forge ahead:
“Immortal never stopped, we just had to go through a long legal process before we could go out in the media with the news. Immortal is much more than just a band, and much more then just a form of music. The departure of one member cannot change that, no matter. We will continue what we believe in, and the power of ”Blashyrkh” shall live on.”
Some tentative track titles for the new material in the works include “Northern Chaos Gods“, “Called To Ice” and “Blacker Of Worlds“. Further word on their plans is due later in the year.
