Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has had his day in court and was officially sentenced to eight months of home detention in New Zealand. Rudd previously pled guilty to threatening to kill a former employee of his, as well as possession of marijuana and methamphetamine. Though Rudd tried to argue that a conviction would hurt his chances on rejoining AC/DC, Judge Thomas Ingram was unmoved and warned him that he will face jail time if he breaks his conditions, which include completing a rehabilitation program. Rudd faced the charges after threatening to kill a former employee when his 2014 solo album “Head Job” flopped. He was found to have the drugs in possession upon his initial arrest.
