The disgruntled relationship shared by Between The Buried And Me and their former label Victory Records will likely prevent any proper tenth anniversary celebrations of the bands “Alaska” album. That album will turn ten on September 06th, 2015. A fan asked the group during their Reddit AMA today, September 23rd, whether there would be a tenth anniversary remaster/re-release. Frontman Tommy Rogers replied:
“I doubt Victory records would let us know do anything like that… fun stuff”
When the topic switched to the groups new album, which they have begun writing, bassist Dan Briggs offered:
“we’re writing a big gnarly conceptual work of music. reference “the wall”, “scenes from a memory”, “quadrophenia”.”
Briggs also gave an update on the next release from one of his other projects, Orbs:
“orbs 7″ with two new songs out in a month or so! the LP is finishing being mixed and will be out in 2015.”
Next up from the band is the September 30th release of their new Blu-ray/DVD effort, “Future Sequence: Live At The Fidelitorium“.
