Late Gwar Frontman Dave Brockie's Death Ruled An Accidental Heroin Overdose

The cause of death for late Gwar frontman Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus) has officially been declared as an accidental heroin overdose according to the State Medical Examiner’s office. WTVR.com obtained the report which lists “acute heroin toxicity” as the official cause. Brockie was founded dead on March 23rd by his roommate in his Richmond, VA home. He was fifty years old. The band are planning to continue on having booked shows for later this year and will also celebrate his legacy with a ‘Viking funeral‘ this summer.
