Late Ministry/Rigor Mortis, etc. guitarist Mike Scaccia will be memorialized with a show in May dubbed the ‘Mike Scaccia “Rock The Heart” Concert‘. The benefit show will be headlined by Down and is to take place at Emo’s in Austin, Texas on May 24th.
The show aims to increase awareness for heart disease and the ‘Mike Scaccia “Heart Rock” Foundation. Also onboard for the night is a special collaborative set from ‘The Scaccianators‘, who will pay tribute to Scaccia‘s various works. Members of Rigor Mortis, Warbeast, Gammacide and Philip H. Anselmo himself will team up for that. Warbeast and Dead Earth Politics will open up the bill.
Scaccia passed away on December 22nd, 2012, after suffering sudden cardiac death while performing onstage. He was 47 years old.
