Diligent Wikipedia updaters can add another vocalist to Shai Hulud‘s lengthy list of vocalists. The bands most recent temporary singer—Justin Kraus of With Life In Mind—was hospitalized (see the below picture) after suffering “severe chest pains” following a performance with the outfit in Trenton, NJ this past Saturday.
In light of his illness (which the band have commented on below) Reign Supreme‘s Jay Pepito was recruited for the bands Danbury, CT show last night.
“Behold! Shai Hulud: Singer Devourer. Don’t worry, Justin‘s not dead, rather, as they might say in The Princess Bride, “mostly dead.” Our brother was admitted to the emergency room with severe chest pains after our show in Trenton last night. Thank you New Jersey for helping us nearly decimate another frontperson! We owe you one.
Danbury, CT, your friendly neighborhood relentlessly unstoppable Shai Hulud is en route to tonight’s show. Justin is going to do his best to make it, meanwhile, you’ll see our pal Jay Pepito from Reign Supreme coming up to bat. Good luck destroying him.
Have fun storming the castle! Onward and upward.”
In other news, members of the outfit have done a track by track rundown of their new album “Reach Beyond The Sun” which you can read over at Stereokiller.com. The band will release that effort tomorrow, February 19th, through Metal Blade. As previously reported, it will feature a number of guests.
