The ever-expanding roster of guests for Queens Of The Stone Age‘s forthcoming new album looks to have increased by one. A newly-made posting over at the bands Facebook hints that frequent collaborator Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees) will be gracing the album:
“Lanegan came by. He didn’t say much, but he sang good. Troy Van Leeuwen said to Dean Fertita as overheard by Mikey Shoes“
Thus far the band have enlisted drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex-Nirvana) to handle the studio drumming for the outing; with Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails, etc.), ex-Queens Of The Stone Age bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters all expected to appear as well.
No word yet on a title or release date for the album—though it should surface sometime this summer/fall.
