Tomahawk performed their first live show in many years yesterday (October 27th) in Nashville, TN. Fan-filmed footage of the entire set, which took place at the Exit/In, can be viewed below. Along with playing new material from their upcoming album “Oddfellows” and breaking in new bassist Trevor Dunn (himself fresh off the Melvins Lite‘s record-attempting run); the group closed out the set with a series of Bad Brains covers (“Pay To Cum” and “How Low Can A Punk Get“).
Tomahawk are of course comprised of members/alumni of Faith No More, Helmet and Mr. Bungle. They are due to release a 7″ single for their song “Stone Letter” as part of Record Store Day‘s “Black Friday” celebration on November 23rd. A digital release of the same track will follow on December 04th.
Their long-awaited new studio album “Oddfellows” will arrive in stores on January 29th via Ipecac Recordings.
