The Sword continue to road-test new material on their current mini-tour with Red Fang. According to those in attendance, the bands set this past Wednesday (June 20th) in Raleigh, NC saw them perform the new songs “Apocryphon“, “Veil“, “Execrator” and “Stormwitch“.

The set apparently also included performances of their recent b-side single “Hammer Of Heaven” and a cover of ZZ Top‘s “Cheap Sunglasses“. Fan-filmed footage from the show, reportedly of the title track to their new album “Apocryphon“, can be found below.

As previously reported, the group are due to enter the studio later this month to begin tracking “Apocryphon” with J. Robbins (Clutch, Jawbox). An early fall release date is being plotted on Razor & Tie with worldwide touring to commence in October.

Meanwhile, the group have also released a collectors bundle that includes their own “Tears Of Fire” brand hot sauce at Indiemerch.com.
