Miss May I have hired Thunder Down Country (Attack Attack!, The Crimson Armada) to direct their new music video. More details on the impending shoot have yet to be announced.

In other news, the group are nearly done tracking their new album with producer Machine (Lamb Of God, Clutch). Band bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff checked in with the following update via the bands Facebook yesterday, February 16th:

“Hey guys! Just wanted to catch all of you metal heads up on what’s going on in the Miss May I world! Levi Benton and myself are at the Machine Shop as we have been since January 2nd, completing the final 2 days of recording our 3rd release with our homies at Rise Records.

This album has been a journey to say the least. We cannot wait to get some amazing new songs out for all of you! This album is sure to be the best record we have put out thus far. It has more inspiration, character, time, and thought behind it than either of our first two, and under the direction of Machine we have written some great metal songs that will surely fuel your head bangs!

We have worked tirelessly to attempt at blending all of your favorite things about the first two albums, and add great new things to spice things up. New, AND older fans alike will love this album. Release dates and all that info will be coming soon, and as soon as we have all the official information we will post it, along with preorders, new tracks, and hopefully some great new videos.

We are working on getting some more studio video up as well. We have been working our butts off to complete things on time, so we are a little slow, and we apologize, but I promise it will be worth it in the end!

We are heading home on Saturday to begin rehearsing for our show with As I Lay Dying in Mexico City. As soon as we finish that up we are flying home, to rehearse some more, and get familiar with some new tunes for our upcoming tours with whitechapel, and Parkway Drive. We have a ton of awesome new merch that we will be bringing on those tours, as well as new stuff for our online stores.

Hope to see you at a tour date soon, stay metal! – Ryan Neff
