The official cause of death for Gwar guitarist Cory Smoot (aka Flattus Maximus) has been revealed to be “a coronary artery thrombosis brought about by his pre-existing coronary artery disease.” The assessment was made following an autopsy done by North Dakota coroner William Masselo, MD.
Smoot passed away while touring with the band on November 03rd, 2011 at the age of 34. A foundation to raise funds for his wife and their unborn child can be found here.
