Rosetta are set to release a deluxe 2xLP version of their latest offering “A Determinism Of Morality” through Cavity Records on April 16th as part of Record Store Day. In other news, the band recently wrapped up tracking material for their upcoming split with Junius. They had the following to offer on it:
“We got back last night from two days of recording with Andrew Schneider at Translator Audio for our upcoming split — all of which was funded by the generosity of the people who donated to our Kickstarter project last month.
We tracked one brand new song and a Soundgarden cover (we’re not telling which song), both of which are probably among the best-sounding recordings we’ve ever done. We don’t know when the release of the split will be, but as soon as we know we’ll post it.
Speaking of the Kickstarter donations… the whole reason we opted to use it was that our van used up our recording budget in repairs. We were astounded at people’s generosity in helping us out, and the drive raised far more money than we actually needed for recording.
But on the way to the sessions, our van’s brakes started to die (this is just about the only system in the vehicle that hasn’t been overhauled). So we also had to have another $650 worth of repairs done to our van yesterday. It seems ok now, but to get through this weekend, we ended up needing every penny that was donated.
For those who donated, we can’t thank you enough. We’re really proud of the new material and we couldn’t have done it without you.”
