Foo Fighters vocalist/guitarist Dave Grohl returned to the stage last night (June 25th) for his first live appearance since the March 2022 passing of his bandmate Taylor Hawkins. Grohl‘s time onstage came about via a guest appearance with literal rock royalty, joining Paul McCartney onstage for several songs during his ‘Glastonbury‘ headlining set.
Together they covered a trio of tracks from The Beatles and Wings, with Bruce Springsteen also taking part. Grohl stepped up onstage for covers of The Beatles‘ “I Saw Her Standing There” and the Wings staple “Band On The Run“. He later reemerged for a set closing cover of The Beatles track “The End” alongside Bruce Springsteen.
