If anything Until The End are a band content to remain consistent, favoring refinement in favor of evolution. With a new frontman by the name of James McHugh now in the fold, little has changed as the band stick to their tough guy NYHC guns on "The Blind Leading The Lost", their latest for Eulogy.
From the onset the listener is greeted by throaty self-empowering vocals, straight-forward bruising riffs, chugging breakdowns and unified gang choruses. If You've heard Sick Of It All, Madball or even Hatebreed, you've already heard pretty much everything this band have to offer. Rapid-fire songs that take no time in getting to the point and have no interest in overstaying their welcome are abundant as the band belt out all that is fit to mosh to.
Although the lyrics are particularly scathing in their attacks and views on socio and political injustices, this is still standard-fare NYHC-styled metalcore. Intense, yet ultimately repetitive Until The End have crafted another album that is exactly what you'd expect from this genre. There are few, if any surprises included, just bruising blasts of energy that are tailored to spinkick and pick up change to. Inspirational perhaps on a lyrical level but little else, "The Blind Leading The Lost" would have trouble finding its way into all but the most diehard NYHC fans collections.
