Professional Murder Music - Professional Murder Music
Take the aggravated vocals of Coal Chamber, the pounding sampling and rhythms of
Static-x, the rumbling bass hits of early 90's Gangsta Rap's 808 Sampler days and the
restrained vocal work of Prong and you might have an idea what Professional
Murder Music is about. The band is somewhat of a collaboration of the music scene's
celebrities as Jeff Schartoff ex-Human Waste Project (Bass, Keyboards,
Programming) is in the band as well as Brian Harrah ex-Tura Satana (Guitars).
This album is intense from start to finish, It's pure grinding industrial that can unveil something
new with each listen. The musical compositions focus acutely on layers of sampled and instrument based material that envelope the listener into a melee of a feral sonic assault. The lyrics are a bit morbid at times (Well maybe if you're deeply religious) as I’m sure the line "Spit In God's Face" from the song Your World could be found offensive, but Roman's (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Programming) callused voice entrances you more to the coiling melodies rather than stand out singularly as just vocals. Thats one of the things I enjoy about this cd, the vocals are as much an instrument as the instruments themselves. All in all my only complaint is it's too short, 6 songs are not enough. This cd is definitely a must have if you like anything with aggressive industrial overtones and hammering vocals.
