For a wrestling compilation "ECW - Anarchy Rocks" is surprisingly solid, featuring a varied list of performers from the new and traditional metal crop including the heavyweights like Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, Powerman 5000, Disturbed and the young up and comers like Cold, One Minute Silence and Chimaira. Complete with segues from the wrestlers who have specifically designated a particular track their own, the album can feel a bit cheesy to those not familiar with the ECW even though its packed to the brim with hard driving metal. Static-X fans may jump at the chance to get their hands on the previously unreleased track "Head" and those fond of the up and coming recent Roadrunner Records signee's Chimaira may find pleasure in the groups tongue in cheek cover of Accept's "Balls To The Wall". But when considering the bulk of songs here were either singles or have been previously released on albums that have been available for months and sometimes even years in advance, the new metal initiated may want to look elsewhere.
