The Learning Curve
The Learning Curve is a section of ThePRP dedicated to up and coming talented artists. We hear countless new bands each week and as such, we will be showcasing the cream of the crop here in this section. Updated regularly *cough*, a variety of bands will always be on display here for those who are looking for something new and fresh. P.S. yes it has been like two years since the last update, blame metalcore. Does that mean this will become regular again? Only time will tell.

Taint:
Dubious name choice aside Taint's weighty take on progressive noisy rock and penchant for doomy passages met with post-hardcore vocals is quite refreshing. Punchy, dynamic and devastating, the band sound like a spurned disciple of the 'Cult Of Neurisis' gone wildly awry. |

When members of Clutch, Opeth and other like-minded compatriots get together to expound their love of the blues and funk rock from days past, those with an open mind would do well to take heed. Sure the stoner rock tag is easily applied, but so are a variety of others as this soulful groove fest gets shaking.

Witchcraft:
While few bands dare to take their worship of a bygone era of rock history to such extremes as Sweden's Witchcraft. Even fewer would be able to pull off this bands charming organic romp through psychedelic rock with enough traces of doom and gloom to keep the Iommi worshippers happy. |
