Thursday have been tapped as the special guest for the as-yet unannounced initial leg of Converge’s upcoming spring headlining tour. Converge frontman Jacob Bannon revealed the news in the latest podcast for his label Deathwish Inc., which can be found here.

Cities and venues have yet to be revealed for the leg of the tour. However, the routing for Thursday’s stint on the trek, which will also feature Lewd Acts and more, is set to run from April 30th through to May 06th.

A recent posting from The Dillinger Escape Plan on Twitter confirms that the band will be debuting an as-yet unspecified new song live tonight, December 04th, at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY.

The song will come from the bands new album “Option Paralysis“, which will arrive in stores on March 23rd, 2010 through the bands own label Party Smasher Inc. in association with Season Of Mist.

As previously reported, the band will spend much of this month on the road with Thursday, dates run as follows:

The Dillinger Escape Plan have posted a new webisode from the ongoing studio sessions for their new album “Option Paralysis” online here. The group are currently in the Los Angeles, CA area tracking the effort with producer Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Sepultura) for a release early next year through their own Party Smasher Inc. label in association with Season Of Mist.
