According to their official Myspace page, Taproot’s new album “Plead The Fifth” has been pushed back to a May 11th release date through Victory. The album was most recently scheduled to drop on April 13th.
Taproot have set “Plead The Fifth” as the title to their new album which they are currently recording in Michigan with producer Tim Patalan (Lovedrug, Taproot). The outing is now tentatively slated for an April 13th release date through Victory. In the meantime, the band recently spoke with Noisecreep about the ongoing sessions for the effort, you can see what they had to say here.
Taproot are now set to release their new album through Victory Records on June 14th, 2010. The group are said to already be working on the as-yet untitled new effort with plans to enter the studio in the coming months to officially begin recording it.
So far there is no word on whether or not drummer Jarrod Montague will return from hiatus to play on the effort however. The bands official Myspace and Victory profile pages currently list the group as a trio.
Taproot have officially inked a deal with Victory Records. The group are currently working on a new album which they plan to release through the label in the spring/summer of 2010.
For now, the group offered the following statement on their signing:
“After a brief period on their own without a major label, Taproot is happy to announce they have found a new home with Victory Records. The future is looking bright with a strong label behind them as Taproot is currently working on a new record to be released in the Spring/Summer of 2010.”
