Dope and Incubus are among the latest participants in Legacy Recordings‘ “X2″ series in which two albums from a bands back catalogue are packaged together for a single release. Dope’s 1999 outing “Felons And Revolutionaries” will be packaged with their 2001 follow-up “Life” and will arrive in stores on September 28th. Meanwhile Incubus‘ 1997 offering “S.C.I.E.N.C.E. will be combined with 2004’s “A Crow Left Of The Murder” and will also see a release on September 28th.

The Deftones were once again joined on stage by a number of their peers for the second of their two benefit concerts thrown for band bassist Chi Cheng at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA yesterday, November 20th.

Confirmed guests include members of Suicidal Tendencies, Children Of Bodom, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Metallica, while the group also were joined by System Of A Down’s Shavo Odadjian and Daron Malakian for collaborative covers of the latters “Toxicity” and “Aerials“.

The Dillinger Escape Plan, Linkin Park, Far, Motley Crue, Cypress Hill and more joined the band for the first (November 19th) benefit show. The concerts took place to raise money for the mounting medical costs incurred by Deftones bassist Chi Cheng’s car accident in November of 2008.
