According to a posting on Twitter, Every Time I Die were involved in a bus accident in Germany today while on tour overseas. No one appears to have been seriously hurt in the accident, though the group describe their bus as being totaled.

“bus is totalled. everyone is ok. we even managed to salvage some beers. see you tomorrow, munich. we’ll post pics of the wreck soon.”
Deadly Animals, the new group featuring ex-Every Time I Die drummer Michael “Ratboy” Novak and Ian Wiedrick of Speakerfire fame, have posted footage of themselves jamming out the demo version of an as-yet untitled new song online. You can watch that below:
An article on “Rock Sound” that has since been pulled revealed that Every Time I Die’s Keith Buckley, Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano and Fall Out Boy’s Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman have teamed up in a new metal side project dubbed The Damned Things.
Scott Ian had the following to say about the band:
“We just started working on songs together and I really dug it. It just felt really good. From there we decided that obviously both of us are pretty busy in our day jobs but let’s see what we can do with this. Even if it takes us five years to make a record, why not?
It’s super fun and it’s something that we do totally take seriously because we love the music we’ve created. People think of Fall Out Boy and they think of Pete Wentz and Patrick. These two guys, man, they’re fucking hardcore dudes.
Joe writes some amazing riffs. We have this song called ‘A Great Reckoning’ that I swear to God, this song could be on any Thin Lizzy record. He fucking blew my mind with this song and I just can’t wait for people to hear it.”
Meanwhile, Joe Trohman had the following to offer:
“Scott’s right hand is the reason I got into playing punk rock, hardcore and metal! Having Keith as part of the mix is insane, we all know he writes incredible lyrics but he is also a really good singer. That is showcased in Every Time I Die, but we want him to go more into singing than screaming on this project.”
Ex-Every Time I Die drummer Michael “Ratboy” Novak has returned with a new band dubbed Deadly Animals. The group, which also features Ian Wiedrick of Speakerfire fame, are currently writing new material and shopping for a label. For now, you can check out some demos from them here.
