Deftones have announced the following two Californian headlining “BlackDiamondSkye Tour” off-date shows for October:
October 13th Bakersfield, CA – Stramler Park
October 14th Modesto, CA – Modesto Hall
Deftones are planning a European/UK tour for November. Dates and venues are currently pending with an announcement expected to be made in the coming weeks.
Deftones are set to release their new single “You’ve Seen The Butcher” to radio on September 14th. A video for the track is also in the works with more details currently pending. Meanwhile, the bands recently filmed video for their track “Sextape“, which was shot with the direction team of Zak Forrest and Chad Liebenguth (Foxy Shazam, Fang Island), will serve as the bands next single internationally.
Deftones have added two headlining off-dates from the upcoming “BlackDiamondSkye” tour with Alice In Chains and Mastodon to their itinerary. They include:

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno recently joined the Bad Rabbits (Irepress) in the studio to guest on a new track from their forthcoming album. Footage of the collaboration can be found below:
Mastodon have lined up a handful of primarily headlining shows aside from their upcoming “BlackDiamondSkye Tour” with Alice In Chains and the Deftones. They include:

Audio samples from the music featured on the upcoming video game “nail’d” have been made available over at the game’s Myspace. As previously reported, members of Arkaea, Deftones, Hatebreed, Static-X, DevilDriver and more all teamed up to create exclusive music for the game.

The third episode of the four part Chi Cheng web series which chronicles his 2008 accident and his ongoing road to recovery can be found online below. As previously reported, the series leads up to the forthcoming free benefit show being thrown for Cheng at the Fairplex in Pomona, CA on August 14th.

A number of metal artists have come together to compose the soundtrack to the upcoming racing video game “nail’d“. Among the musicians collaborating together are:

A number of the musicians mentioned above paired up to write instrumental tracks for the game, including “Through Walls Of Flame” which features vocals from Jamey Jasta, “Decimator” which sports vocals from Wayne Static and “Count For Something“.
Beyond the above-mentioned music, the game will also feature licensed tracks from the likes of Slipknot, Queens Of The Stone Age, Rise Against, Slaves On Dope, Backyard Babies, American Sixgun and Aggressive Chill. The game is expected to see a quarter 4 release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC while a trailer featuring some of the exclusive music can be found below:
