Studio footage of Daron Malakian of System Of A Down/Scars On Broadway fame working on a new Cypress Hill tracked dubbed “Trouble Seeker” has made its way online and can be viewed below. “Trouble Seeker” appears on Cypress Hill’s forthcoming new album “Rise Up“, which also features guest appearances from Tom Morello or Rage Against The Machine fame and Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda among others. “Rise Up” will see a release on April 20th.

Sol Invicto, the side project of Deftones guitarist Stephen Carpenter, Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill and more, have brought in drummer Mike Glozier to help out with some live shows in the future. Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello will be guesting on two tracks on Cypress Hill’s upcoming new album, “Rise Up“. Morello will appear on the album’s title track, which will also serve as the first single from the album, and will also be featured on the song “Shut ‘Em Down“. The album has been scheduled for an April 06th release date through Priority.
Meanwhile the title track, which has been selected as the theme song for an upcoming WWE PPV event, can be heard below:
The Deftones were joined on stage by members of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Linkin Park, Far, Motley Crue, Cypress Hill and more during last nights show at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA.
The show is the first of two benefit performances the band are playing in a bid to raise money for the mounting medical costs incurred by their bassist Chi Cheng’s car accident this past November. The second show will take place tonight, November 20th.
