  • A free mp3 download of Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky’s new solo track “Here In Spirit” has been posted online here. The song will appear on Brodsky’s forthcoming solo outing, “Here’s To The Future“, which will be released both digitally and on cassette on March 23rd via Hydra Head.

    Cave In Frontman To Release New Solo Album In March (Updated)

    Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky’s new solo outing “Here’s To The Future” has been bumped back to a March 23rd release date via Hydra Head. The outing will be released both digitally and on cassette and will sport the following track listing:

    01 – “Here’s To The Future
    02 – “Human Contagious
    03 – “@ The OSC
    04 – “Mass Appeal
    05 – “Spellng B
    06 – “Halo 4A Hula-Hoop
    07 – “Retail Therapy
    08 – “Here In Spirit
    09 – “MLK

    For now, a new track from it dubbed “Here In Spirit” can be streamed online here.

    Rare 1997 Cave In Footage Available Online

    Rare Kid Kilowatt Live Footage Available Online

    Rare live footage of Kid Kilowatt -- the short lived side project of members of Cave In, Converge and Piebald, has surfaced online and can be seen below. The line-up for the footage includes Stephen Brodsky and Adam McGrath of Cave In, etc. fame and Converge’s Kurt Ballou.

  • Hydra Head recently revealed that Cave In’s upcoming CD/DVD release of their “Planets Of Old” EP will also feature a bonus live CD. The package features the groups recently released “Planets Of Old” EP on CD, along with a DVD which captures the bands ‘reunion’ show which took place at Great Scott in Allston, MA in July of 2009.

    The aforementioned bonus live CD is expected to feature the audio of the same July 2009 show. “Planets Of Old” will see a January 26th release date via Hydra Head.

    Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky will release a new album dubbed “Here’s To The Future” next month via Hydra Head on both cassette and as a digital release. An official release date is expected to be announced shortly.

    Cave In’s upcoming rarities compilation “Anomalies Vol. 1 And 2” is tentatively expected to see a release through Hydra Head in April. In the meantime, the band will release the CD/DVD version of their latest EP “Planets Of Old” through Hydra Head on January 26th.

    Cave In Frontman Talks Converge/Cave In Collaboration, Verge-In

    Cave In frontman Stephen Brodsky recently confirmed to Noisecreep that the track “Effigy” from Converge’s latest album “Axe To Fall” initially came to be through the infamous Verge-In sessions.

    The “Axe To Fall” version of “Effigy” also features guest appearances from Brodsky himself along with drummer J.R. Connors and guitarist Adam McGrath.

    The fabled sessions saw members of Cave In and Converge team up in 2004 for a collaborative project dubbed Verge-In that failed to ever publically materialize. Brodsky further went on to state that some of the material eventually seeing the light of day is not entirely out of the question.
