A live clip of Serj Tankian performing his track “Empty Walls” with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra has been posted online below. The footage comes from Tankian’s upcoming “Elect The Dead Symphony” release, which captures a collaborative live performance the aforementioned pair played together in March of last year. The collection will be released on CD/DVD and on vinyl on March 09th via Serjical Strike/Reprise.

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian’s upcoming live DVD outing “Elect The Dead Symphony” will be screening in a number of American cities in the next month. The complete list of theaters can be found here. “Elect The Dead Symphony“, which is due in stores on March 09th through Serjical Strike/Reprise, captures a collaborative live show Tankian played with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra in Auckland, NZ in March of last year.

The set saw the pairing tackle a number of orchestral renditions of songs from Tankian’s solo effort, “Elect The Dead“.

Serj Tankian’s collaborative live performance with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra is now scheduled to arrive in stores through Serjical Strike/Reprise Records on March 09th, 2010. Dubbed “Elect The Dead Symphony“, the outing focuses on a show Tankian played with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra backing him that took place at the Auckland Town Hall on March 16th, 2009 in Auckland, New Zealand.

The set focuses on orchestral interpretations of music taken from Tankian’s debut solo album, “Elect The Dead“. It will primarily be released as a deluxe CD/DVD 6-panel digipak with an eight page color booklet.

In addition to featuring the HD footage of the show itself shot by six cameras, the DVD will also sport rare and intimate backstage footage; as well as one on one interviews with Tankian and various members of the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra.

Vinyl and standard CD editions are also being prepared for release on March 09th as well. Each different version will have unique images included exclusive to their format. The track listing for the effort, which was mixed by Junkie XL, runs as follows:
