Annotations Of An Autopsy Part Ways With Guitarist And Drummer

    23.07.10 @ 12:45 pm Posted by wookubus

Annotations Of An Autopsy have parted ways with guitarist Sam Dawkins and drummer Brad Merry and have replaced them with Don Jones and Neil Hayward respectively. The group issued the following statement on the matter:

    “Whats up ya’ll
So things have been pretty quiet in the aoaa online world recently, since we got back from our american tour with Dying Fetus we ave been taking some time off to sort out some problems we had within aoaa, so heres the news.

Sam Dawkins & Brad Merry are no longer in AOAA.
Sam decided to leave after te tour to follow home life with is girlfriend and loved ones, his heart wasnt into touring anymore so he made the decision to leave, we left on good terms and we wish that ugly prick the best of luck (HATE YOU SAM YOU BURGER LOVING FATTY).

We parted ways with brad recently do to a number of reasons, the main one being distance as he lived over 100 miles away from the rest of us and it made it very difficult for us to rehurse, that coupled with disagreements with certain band members made make the decision to part ways with him, He is currently looking for a new band within the london area and trying to go further with his MMA.

You can reach him on his facebook if youre intrested in him drumming for you, just search Brad Merry.

SO! here we go again, yep new members again you say? well not so new.

Taking sams place we’d like to announce the return of Don Jones into the aoaa rank, Don is a guy who we’ve been playing in local bands with since we were all 14, for those of you who arent farmiliar with his name, he played on our Welcome To Sludgy City ep, The reason don hasnt been with the band any longer than the ep was other commitments stopping him from touring, but now we finally have him and its great to be working with him again, His first show with us will be Ieperfest!

Taking Brads place on drums is our long time friend Neil Hayward, we met neil a few years ago through playing some shows together, hes a great guy, likes skulls n that, metal n things. So please welcome him in! His first show will be at ieperfest

Now all the nastyness is done lets get onto…

    NEW MUSIC:
So we’ve now started writting our next cd, we’ve been listening to all the feedback you guys have given us and have taken it all onboard for this next cd, we dont really wanna do the usual ‘Omg this is gonna be the heaviest cd ever, so heavy that lambgoat will hate us” but its def going to be our angriest sounding release to date, there will be mixes of both the ep/throne cd sound with the sound of reign of darkness thrown in with new elements our new members bring, its all about the groove.

SO WHEN DO WE GET NEW MUSIC YOU PRICKS?
We are planning to release a new track later in the year towards the time of the jfac tour, it
We will also have a new myspace up soon with new pics & Merch

Check out our dates and come stage dive at a show
Steve, Jamie, Don, Nath & Neil
    Stay Sludge”

  • Annotations Of An Autopsy have released an official statement detailing their decision to opt out of their scheduled touring this month with Carnifex, Suffokate and Upon A Burning Body. You can read it below:

    “Hey guys.
As you may or may not have heard we are NOT on the current Carnifex North American tour as billed, sorry we havent had a chance to tell you guys this sooner but we just got back from the European Suffocation tour.
Anyway down to the point at hand.

The Reason we are not on the Carnifex tour is because we as a band decided against doing it, its nothing to do with the bands, no we dont hate america we love you. The reason being currently we are not in a place where we wanted to spend 4 months straight on the road which is what it would have been with tour after tour, we all have things going on in our lives at home currently that need our attention and family comes first, none of us were on the right state of mind to be able to spend that much time away at this moment in time we didnt feel we were ready for that much touring. So we pulled out to take some time off and spend some time with our loved ones.

We know this is the 2nd time we’ve pulled a US tour and we know you guys must be pissed but we have to do what is right for us.
No we are not splitting up or anything like that nor are we going on hiatus, were not intrested in shit talking or little comments on lambthingy or any other lifeless troll swamp about how we should be used to touring, the bottom line is we’ve toured our asses off and sometimes you need to step back and look out for yourselves.

Thank you for all your support it means alot and we will be coming to the us soon to make it up to you guys, i hope you all understand.

Our next show is Neurotic Deathfest.
    We’ll see you there

Steve, Jamie, Brad, Nath & Sam.
    AOAA”
