Now, that's a great CD. Coming from Jacksonville, North Carolina, 5lb. Bag shows their GREAT potential with this debut CD. Although the recording is kinda low, you can listen to it and have an idea of what are they all about. The bag shows a really well-done heavy rapcore, with two vocals, which makes a really pleasant sound to listen. One thing I like a lot in 5lb. Bag's music is it's lyrics. When I interviewed Bailey, one of the singers and main lyricist, he told me he only writes about what he really knows, what he passed through. I mean, personal experience. All the lyrics pass a really cool message to the listener, what I consider something extremely positive. My favorite song is definitely "Suckerprize", the track which opens the CD, although songs like "Hypocisy Screaming Hypocrisy" and "Shun The Freak" totally rock my house. I can't really compare 5lb. Bag with any other band....maybe with Downset a bit, though the bag is much more heavy. Check them out at http://www.5lbbag.com/ and sign the guestbook.
