Onward To Olympas are filming a music video today, August 30th, for their new single “Wolf’s Jaw“. You can find a picture from the shoot over at the bands Twitter. Those who missed it can check out a lyric video for the aforementioned song at this location.
The groups new album “Indicator” is slated for an October 09th release date on Facedown.
Details have been made public for Fear And The Nervous System‘s (Korn, Faith No More, etc.) upcoming two disc reissue of their self-titled effort. Along with the two new tracks “The Combine” and “Silvertone“, the outing will sport a bonus disc of instrumental versions of material from the album.

Stone Sour‘s lyric video for their new singles “Gone Sovereign“/”Absolute Zero” has landed online below. Both tracks are currently available as digital singles and are taken from the bands new album “House Of Gold & Bones – Part 1“. Roadrunner Records will release that album on October 23rd with the second installment expected out in May of next year.
The Sword have confirmed a Monday, October 22nd release date for their new album “Apocryphon“. The band have a new tour booked in support of the effort and will be announcing the details on September 05th.
In other news, they will also appear on the September 03rd episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations – The Final Tour“. A clip from their episode, which was filmed at the “SXSW Festival” this past March in Austin, TX, can be seen below.
Along with that comes the wide availability of the groups official “Tears Of Fire” hot sauce, which goes on sale September 04th at Tearsofjoysauces.com. The sauces creator Brian Rush described it as follows:
“They wanted something hot, but with a good flavor. I already make a really hot red habanero sauce (August in Austin), so it was just a matter of taking that over the top. I added the infamous Ghost Chile, the hottest pepper in the world along with some extra spice to give it another dimension of zing. This is an other-worldly sauce with both flavor and heat, named after a killer song for one of the best bands Austin has to offer.”

Both outfits have new albums in the works with the Deftones‘ expected out by the years end.
KEN mode have lined up Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis) to produce their new album. Sessions for the effort, which carries the tentative title of “Entrench“, will commence on September 05th at Private Ear Recording in Winnipeg, MB.
High On Fire‘s Matt Pike looks to have been the victim of a theft as the group have put out the following message regarding a missing guitar:
“Matt Pike‘s Les Paul guitar has gone missing from a Santa Rosa studio. The color is Tobacco Sunburst and has Matt Pike signature pickups, and the case has PIKE written on it in large white letters. If you have any information on the guitar, please contact email@example.com”
Suicide Silence vocalist Mitch Lucker recently broke his elbow. While details of how he came to injure himself were not revealed, he did post the rather disturbing picture below via his Instagram with the caption:
“This is a picture of what came out of my broken elbow. Yep… That’s a Lil chunk of bone”
Despite the injury he continues to perform with the band, with the group set to perform in Odessa, Texas tonight, August 29th.
Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst‘s guest appearance on Insane Clown Posse‘s cover of AMG‘s “Bitch Better Have My Money” has been circulating online. The cover appeared on “Covered, Smothered And Chunked“—a bonus covers album included with the ‘red pop’ version of the newly-released Insane Clown Posse full-length, “The Mighty Death Pop“.
Linkin Park have launched an ambitious new interactive music video for their song “Lost In The Echo” at Lostintheecho.com. According to the press release:
“The interactive music video features the viewer’s digital world through use of pictures from their own Facebook profile. The video application asks permission for temporary access to the user’s Facebook photos and incorporates them in the video. These photos are integrated into the storytelling through stunning visuals, set against LOST IN THE ECHO – one of the band’s most powerful tracks from their new album.”
While it may have gone over like a lead balloon in Phoenix, AZ, Battlecross will be digitally releasing a studio version of their cover of Pantera‘s “Fucking Hostile” shortly. The track will get its initial premiere on on Sirius XM Liquid Metal this coming Friday, August 31st. It will wind up on iTunes, etc. shortly thereafter.
September will see Orgy return with their first single release in over seven years. The band will be issuing a digital/CD single for their new track “Grime Of The Century“, a clip of which can be heard below.
It will see a September 04th release digitally with a CD release to follow on September 10th. On top of that, the band plan to embark on a 3-5 week tour in support of the track in November with dates and details to be announced soon.
Weapon are offering fans a chance to go behind the scenes of the studio sessions for their coming new album “Embers And Revelations“. You can check out the first in a series of studio webisodes to be posted for the album below. October 09th will see the release of the effort on Relapse Records.
Early Graves are streaming the title track to their new album “Red Horse” online via Pitchfork. No Sleep Records will be handling the release of the album, which will street on October 30th. Pre-orders for it are currently available now at this location.
The effort will mark the bands first foray with vocalist John Strachan (The Funeral Pyre). He takes the place of the late Makh Daniels—who died in a van accident while on tour with the group in 2010.
