Sevendust Members Reveal Name For New Side Project

The new Sevendust offshoot project featuring guitarist Clint Lowery and drummer Morgan Rose officially has a name. According to Lowery‘s Twitter, the group have chosen Call Me Noone as their new moniker. They expect to enter the studio in around two weeks time.

Sevendust on the other hand are currently still on break and plan to begin writing new material for their next outing in June.

Chelsea Grin have officially parted ways with their guitarist Michael Stafford. Born Of OsirisJason Richardson has been tapped to fill in for the immediate future with the band offering the following statement:

Michael Stafford has recently decided that the hectic touring lifestyle is not for him, and among other personal reasons, has decided to step down as the lead guitar player for Chelsea Grin. This may have been obvious to a lot of you as he hasn’t been with us since the All Stars Tour, but he has given us his final decision recently and we must move forward.

Jason Richardson (Born of Osiris, ex-All Shall Perish) will be filling the position until further notice. Jason is one of the best guitar players around, and with us already being such good friends, he is more than a perfect fit. 2012 is going to be huge for us, so make sure to come out and see the new and improved Chelsea Grin!”

Irepress Working On New Material

According to their Twitter, Irepress have been working on new material as of late. No word yet on when and where it will surface however.

The new project from Max Cavalera (Soulfly, etc.,) Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan) & Dave Elitch (ex-The Mars Volta) recently finished up another writing session. According to a Facebook posting from Puciato:

“Not a bad week. Wrapped up three days of writing w/ Cavalera and Elitch today, new DEP is slowly taking shape, and Weinman and I whipped up a surprise LA show with about five minutes of planning. Possibly the easiest show we’ve ever booked, and it’ll definitely be one of the craziest. Now on to the night and the insanity that always comes with it. Have a good weekend, everyone. Don’t get too crazy. No, wait…what am I talking about. DO. Sanity is overrated.”

You can check out a pic of the aforementioned trio together over at Elitch‘s Twitter. As noted above The Dillinger Escape Plan will be playing the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, CA on January 18th. They will be joined by Nails and Dangers at the show.
