The recent rumors of Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds being assaulted in Las Vegas, NV following his appearance at the "MTV Video Music Awards" this past Sunday just may be true with the bands management recently issuing the following statement:
"Mastodon guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds suffered a severe head injury after his performance on Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas. He is being treated by a Las Vegas hospital where he remains hospitalized."

Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Dani California" look to be the latest additions to the upcoming multi-platform videogame, "Rock Band". The game, which is confirmed to feature tracks from Metallica, Queens Of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More and many more, will see a release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Playstation 2 on November 20th.

The track is taken from the bands new album "Fear Will Cast No Shadow", which is set for an October 30th release date through Victory.
