Arsis have parted ways with vocalist Mike Parks, here's the word on the matter from the band:
"When James' voice went out a couple tours ago, Mike did us the biggest favor by filling in for as long as he did. I know I speak for everyone in Asis when I say we couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job. However, we felt that with the new album right around the corner, we needed to move on with Arsis in the Arsis way - with James back on vocals. We wish him nothing but the best, as we'll always be friends."
The group will begin recording their new album "We Are The Nightmare" for Nuclear Blast on September 03rd. An early 2008 release date is expected.

Killwhitneydead have added guitarist Rob formerly of Gabriella Cutthroat to their line-up. According to the band, his addition comes as a result of "some unfortunate things happening during our last tour and we had to part ways with a member. We will not go into details, but we would like to apologize (not that we haven't already to the people directly involved) to all the fans who were affected in some way or another." In other news, the band will be filming a video for their track "Just When You Thought I Was Listening" in October and also have a cover of Seaweed's "Baggage" set to appear on the upcoming Seaweed tribute "Hours And Hours: A Tribute To Seaweed". Beyond that the group are also working on a few new covers, one of which will show up on the upcoming "Tribunal Records 100: We Gotcha Covered" compilation.

An October 30th release date has been set by American Recordings for the live DVD effort which captures the July 13th, 2006, Vancouver, BC, stop of the "Unholy Alliance Tour". Performances by all bands on the bill, along with behind the scenes clips and interviews are all expected to be featured on the effort.

Arsis have chosen "We Are The Nightmare" as the tentative title for their upcoming new album. The group will begin recording the effort at Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts with producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed) beginning September 03rd. An early 2008 release date via Nuclear Blast is expected with the band set to hit the road with Enslaved in November, followed by a run with Exodus in January.
