(7:51 PM PST 07/16/2007)
After much back and forth Hell Within have announced Brian Roy as their new frontman. He replaces Matt McChesney, who left the band to join The Autumn Offering. Hell Within's official statement on the matter is as follows:
"Hell Within is proud to announce that we have a new singer. We would like to welcome Brian Roy from MA as the new vocalist of Hell Within. Tony, Isaias, Joe and Derek are still friends and brothers with Matt as we always have been. We wish him the very best with his new project and future endeavors.
Brian will be performing with Hell Within for their East Coast Tour making his debut on 7/28 at The ADC Center in Southbridge MA.
Thanks to everyone for the support, we look forward to seeing you on the road."
McChesney on the other hand made the following statement on the matter:
"Due to my touring and recording commitments to The Autumn Offering I can no longer continue vocal duties for Hell Within. I want to thank Isaias, Tony, Joe, Derek, and Brian for a great 6 years. I hope everyone continues to support the band. I hate it when these things run on and on with stupid personal shit so I'll keep it short. Thanks to the fans, my former band mates, managers Cynthia Donovan and Kirk Ceballos, Lifeforce Records and everyone else that made my time with Hell Within so memorable. I'm down here in Orlando at AudioHammer studios working on a monster record. I don't think that I did enough screaming on Shadows Of Vanity so I'm going to make up for that on this record. We just signed a management deal with Mortal Management and they are lining up some great tours.
See you soon!!!"
