Dilutral:
Performing together with relatively the same line-up more or less since 1997, Dilutral have underwent a few stylistic changes that led them to the release of an interesting EP entitled "Everything.Nothing" in 2000. Taking their time to hone their craft, the band have now returned with "Phi" and with more high profile shows in their native scene continually being lined up in support of it, things are definitely on the upswing for this quintet. |

While most young bands are busy trying to emulate whatever is hot, this impressively talented six piece have instead pieced together a baffling musical carnival from the blueprints laid out by Mr. Bungle, Zappa, Primus and more. By no means the first band to tread down this path, their youthful energy and fresh ideas do however manage to add a distinct tilt, making them a noteworthy listen overall. |
