Blood Red:
Fronted by former Silent Majority vocalist Thomas Corrigan, Blood Red should have no trouble turning heads in the Long Island, NY scene as Corrigan's previous group was one of post-hardcore's best kept secrets. In fact, Corrigan was so influential to Daryl Palumbo of current Long Island heroes Glassjaw that the band even wrote a song about him entitled "Grasper". Lasting influences aside though, Blood Red also boast former members of Inside within their ranks and with a punchy new full-length debut overseen by Juan Garcia (Jawbox, Vision Of Disorder) now landing in stores through Initial Records, it looks as though the end of two former hometown luminaries has sprouted quite the powerful new beginning. |

The Blueprint:
With a venerable line-up of U.K. talent that includes the likes of former Earthtone9 frontman Karl Middleton, Pitchshifter bassist Mark Clayden, Consumed guitarist Will Burchell and more, The Blueprint came to be in November 2001 and after a good few months spent together solidifying their sound, they have now begun to play out live and win over fans in their native turf. This trend looks to only continue in the future as the band will be releasing their debut 5 song EP through Copro Records in October and will surely be playing an extensive string of shows in support of it. |

Calyx In Ruin:
Hailing from the ever burgeoning Massachusetts scene, Calyx In Ruin are a hungry new group comprised of considerably familiar faces. Ex members of SimpLe, Gargantua Soul and Shoot The Dancing Bear stand present within their ranks and despite the somewhat unlikely combination of talent on hand, it would seem that this new incarnation has paid off extremely well - at least if the bands two song demo has any say in the matter. With a hungry schedule for live shows in and around their regional area already mapped out and more new music on the way, this impressive quintet look to be going anywhere but in ruins. |

The Bled:
A vicious mixture of metalcore brawn and technical metal timing, The Bled have come a long way since their inception back in 2000. Playing a wealth of local shows and gaining themselves a loyal fan base in the process, they went on to release their debut EP "His First Crush" in 2001 and have since aligned themselves with Fiddler Empire Records for their upcoming full-length debut. A solid touring schedule is planned in support of it when it sees a release later this year and if their current material is any indication of what is to come, this band just might put a few blood banks out of business. |

Beauty To Ashes:
Beauty To Ashes are currently one of the lesser known talents hailing from the California hardcore scene but this won't be for long as their Pluto Records debut "Reproduce The Common Practice" is set to land in stores on September 03rd. Having already released a few demos and EP's and been on innumerous compilations since their inception back in 1999, this group have already made a considerable impact but it looks as though what they've achieved so far will only be a pothole when compared to the crater their impressive new album will create this fall. |
