PRP: Hi there! Well, first of all, how did Supersoul's members got together to form a band?
Norman: Out of the lack of ambition and integrity in our former bands! I've always had a vision and a desire to pursue it and I need nothing less!
PRP: Who are in the band at all?
Norman: Norman Matthew, vocals | Scott Hale, guitar | J.Swanson, guitar | D.Arellano, bass | Mikey Box, drums.
PRP: Why you decided to play the instrument you do, or, to sing? Anyone inspired you?
Norman: I play guitar as well as sing. Definitely Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crue and Kiss sold me on the whole "RockStar" trip!
PRP: How long have you guys been together as a band?
Norman: One Year.
PRP: Any material released?
Norman: "Supersoul" EP - December 1998 | "Prelude to Bloom" EP - July 1999 | "Bloom" Full length - September 1999.
PRP: How you got your name?
Norman: It's has a spiritual origin, much like our sound and aura.
PRP: How would you describe your band's sound to someone who has never heard you guys?
Norman: The Cure marries the deftones!
PRP: How's the process of creating songs? Lyrics first, music second?
Norman: Actually, I'm the core. It all starts with my ideas. I'm always writing 24-7..
PRP: How's the music scene there in El Paso, Texas?
Norman: NON EXISTENT!
PRP: How you guys do to spread yourself out from the others?
Norman: We play what naturally flows, try to avoid any pretenciousness.
PRP: Influences of the band?
Norman: Depeche Mode, the Cure, the 80's, Jane's Addiction, Deftones, Tool, Pantera, Smashing Pumpkins, genuine music.
PRP: Best underground band out there, in your opinion?
Norman: SUPERSOUL.
PRP: All-time favorite band?
Norman: Kiss.
PRP: What would be the tour of your dreams? Your band plus.... ?
Norman: Supersoul, Kiss and the Deftones.
PRP: Any big plans in the horizon?
Norman: To blow the scene up!!
PRP: Last show you went?
Norman: We just finished the "Watcha Tour" with Puya, Cafe Tacuba, Molotov and Fishbone! At the end of August, we start our tour with 20 Dead Flower Children and Juice!
PRP: Any shows booked or something?
