PRP: Before anything, tell us about all the shit involving Vicenzo's departure and arrival... Are you doing lots of drugs? hehehe
Jera: Vicenzo was drinking too much Coke lately, so he went nuts... We were doing the common ones: crack, heroine... hehehehehe

PRP: Everything's ok now, right? Marcelo joined the band and new perspectives are showing up... Marcelo, what do you intend to add to the band? What did you find necessary to add to the band before and now you wanna put to practice?
Marcelo: The band lacked nose-fucking! A nose fucker! hehehe And heavier riffs 'cause there were lots of quiet shit! hehe

PRP: Well, what are you listening to lately? Which Brazilian bands do you recommend?
Jera: We're listening a lot to Lenine! hehehehe
Rod Nunez: No! Lenine sucks! Death to Lenine! hehehe We listen to these Brazilian bands, as usual: R.D.P., Sepultura and Soulfly, if you consider it Brazilian. We're listening a lot to Incubus, Tool and I'm recently in love with Fantômas, after I bought their CD.

PRP: The Promo CD seems to be at the end of its distribution... How many copies were distributed? And the EP: when do you plan to release it? Is there going to be a video along with its release?
Rod Nunez: Around 400 copies 'till now and we plan to distribute about 100 more 'till we release our EP. Immortal and Warner are fighting to release it! hahahaha We're hiring John Woo to produce our video. hehe Well, we wanna shoot it, but we don't have a concrete idea about what it will be like. We're thinking about the EP first.

PRP: Tell the people who visit PRP how the show with Sepultura was. Jera and Rod didn't even dirtied their pants when they played "Kaiowas" with them, was it? hehehe
Jera: I didn't dirt it, really. The best thing about it was hitting Catapulta's singer's hand! hehehe
Rod Nunez: Marcelo can answer it, since he watched the show in front of the stage...
Marcelo: It was awesome! When I stepped on stage to sing "Kaiowas"... hehehe

PRP: Hahahaha
Marcelo: The vocals were insane... ahaha That lyric is so deep, I can't say a thing 'cause I'll start crying... hehehehe
Vicenzo: Yeah... hehehe

PRP: Hahahaha. The million-dollar contract Igor Cavalera told you he would fix with Roadrunner was already signed? How much are you earning? hehe
Jera: After Igor told me I was a great drummer, he wanted to talk to me... hehehe We went backstage to talk about the contract, but we didn't sign it 'cause their offer was too small, we couldn't share it in a fair way... hehehehe
Vicenzo: Jera, take it seriously! hehehe

PRP: How do you see all this glamour and attention given to bands who are doing exactly what Korn and Deftones did almost 5 years ago? Everything is extremely artificial and less emotional...
Jera: It's that same old story, this happened before with metal and thrash metal, for instance... When the first band appeared lots of bands followed it, but most of today's bands don't have half the emotion Korn and Deftones had in their beginning... Not even Korn has it anymore. If you do something different and have an extra point added to the style, you'll surely be recognized.
Rod Nunez: This is common... When a new style appears, the pioneers are always the best and they're followed by new bands. An important detail is that many people don't label us as "pimp rock", 'cause this isn't what we wanna do. We're strongly influenced by it, but we're opened to other stuff too.

PRP: If you could eliminate an American band who already released an album and took their place at their label, which band would it be?
Rod Nunez: Vanilla Ice! hehehe

PRP: You can't answer Vanilla Ice, ok?! hehehe
Jera: Spineshank and Coal Chamber, these are the first bands coming to my mind!
Rod Nunez: Spineshank is worse than Coal Chamber!
Marcelo: Spineshank is much worse than Coal Chamber!

PRP: Some people in the US are into your music and expecting you to play there soon... When are you planning to tour US? Which bands are you playing with and in which town will it begin?
Rod Nunez: American tour? Well, an American tour is a little far, but I believe next year, if everything turns out right.
Jera: We would like to play with Neck in New York...
Rod Nunez: Neck is an awesome band we'll try to enter in contact with when we get there, but a tour will happen only next year... I don't know if we'll manage to play a tour, but we'll definitely play some shows...
Vicenzo: Europe too...
Rod Nunez: Yeah, we'd actually like to play everywhere else, not only in the US!

PRP: What about street teams? Are there any working with you?
Rod Nunez: There are some street teams contacting us, but I don't know what's going on 'cause this isn't my job in the band... I think it's important.

PRP: If the condition for you to play at the Family Values Tour '99 was that Julio, Pimps' cutest, butt-fucked Rammstein's keyboard player, who seems to like this shit, what would you do? hehehe Would you do it?
Julio Lobo: If I had a plastic dick like the singer in Rammstein, with a never-ending cum, I would do it! hehehehe
Jera: I refuse to answer this shit! hehehe
Marcelo: This is a Kerrang type of question! hehehehe

PRP: What new stuff do you plan to show when you come to the US, besides Marcelo's huge muscles? hehehe
Jera: Hahahaha Well, some songs influenced by Brazilian pop music... There are some unfinished songs... There are cha-cha-cha and mambo influences too! hehehe

PRP: Ricky Martin! hehehe
Jera: Lots of Ricky Martin! hehehe
Rod Nunez: Living La Vida Loca! hahahaha There are some oriental techno influences... I don't know... That's why I don't think we're "pimp rock", 'cause it's becoming way too mechanical, doing always the same things... Groove, emotional vocals, screams and hip-hop... We wanna add other stuff; our music is touched a little bit by oriental-techno, funk, "bossa nova"... We are willing to add some percussion, but we need money to do it...

PRP: And what about the lyrics? You write all the lyrics, but I wanna know if you're opened to the other members' ideas and if they intend to write too.
Rod Nunez: 'Till now I've written the lyrics, but, of course, everyone can write what they want to. They are just too lazy to do so! hehehe

PRP: That's it, thanks for the interview. Any final words to everybody who's into Pimp Rock Palace?
Jera: There are lots of sites who support this kind of music and Pimp Rock Palace is one of the best... Some sites are more about gossip than anything else, but they still help out bands.
