PRP: Hey. Thanks for your time. Well, how did Gryp's members got together to form a band?
Curtis: Johnny D and I were playing in a band together and we formed a new one with Jeremy, and added Jason even later.
PRP: Who are in the band at all?
Curtis: Curtis - Vocals / Johnny Dee - Drums / Jeremy - Bass / Jason - Guitar
PRP: Why you decided to play the instrument you do, or, to sing? Anyone inspired you?
Curtis: I've always admired vocals and guitarists. I use to play guitar and sing in this one as well until we picked up Jason. I put my guitar down since he crushes me.
PRP: How long have you guys been together as a band?
Curtis: 3 years
PRP: Any material released?
Curtis: Our first full length album "Indecision" was released
worldwide Jun 23, 99 on Metro One music / Metrovox.
PRP: How you got your name?
Curtis: It comes from John 10:28 in the Bible. It is about
the grip Christ has on you when you become a Christian.
PRP: How would you describe your band's sound to someone who has never heard you guys?
Curtis: Hard Alternative with a taste of Hardcore. In the vein of Korn, Limp Bizkit, Manson, Deftones, etc.
PRP: How's the process of creating songs? Lyrics first, music second?
Curtis: Always music 1st. The lyrics go with the flow of the music and the topic we choose for me to write about.
PRP: How's the music scene there in Fresno, CA.?
Curtis: There is a small scene but we seem to have a fairly large following here.
PRP: Influences of the band?
Curtis: Korn, Deftones, POD, Limp Bizkit, Snot, Manson etc.
PRP: Best underground band out there, in your opinion?
Curtis: Adeama from Bako. They will be huge! (Forgive me, Mark, if I spelled it wrong)
PRP: All Time Favorite Band?
Curtis: In the 80's it was Motley Crue. Now, the bands I mentioned above including Slipknot.
PRP: What would be the tour of your dreams? Your band plus....?
Curtis: Any of the above mentioned bands.
PRP: Any big plans in the horizon?
Curtis: Touring nonstop.
PRP: Last show you went?
Curtis: The Roxy in Hollywood, CA.
