Band: VENT |
Introduction: VENT may have achieved initial interest as a result of featuring 3 siblings of their brother band Incubus, but once the release of their full length debut "Papa's Dojo" took place in late '99, the fact that this Californian quartet had what it takes to stand on their own was more than fortified. The group soon found themselves in a major label bidding war in early 2000 and wound up a part of the Atlantic Records roster as a result, spending the spring and summer working on new material and honing their sound. After a few delays came into play recording and producer wise, the band decided to release another shipment of their independent album "Papa's Dojo" upon the masses and played a few shows here and there before officially settling on producer Gavin Mackillop (Goo Goo Dolls, Sarah Mclachlan) to helm their forthcoming debut album, which they are now set to begin recording in early February with a late summer release being eyed. But despite all the hype and connections, VENT are easily one of the most talented groups to emerge in quite some time and its without any doubt that they will become one of the bigger names in rock as 2001 draws to a close. - wookubus Albums
