Band: SW1TCH |
Introduction: SW1TCH formed as the result of the breakups of various local acts and although the band itself is still relatively young, the members experience within past bands and playing live shows over years have made them more than qualified to hold their own whether in be in the studio or on stage. 2000 however, couldn't have went better for the band, as it was literally weeks after the spring/summer release of their latest demo, when the group found themselves being courted by various major labels and after playing a few showcases in Los Angeles, inked a deal with Immortal/Virgin. Spending the last part of the year working on new material and playing the occasional show here and there, the band look to kick off 2001 with a bang, hitting the road for a string of dates alongside Downset., Factory 81 and Relative Ash before locking themselves away in the studio with producer Jason Bieler (Nonpoint, Darwin's Waiting Room) to record their major label debut which is expected to land on shelves in the fall. With plans for heavy touring set to kickoff in the spring, SW1TCH are eyeing to make a name for themselves in the new millennium and if the material contained on the demo was any indication of what is to come, it doesn't look like anyone will be able to stop them. - wookubus Albums
