Band: Sevendust |
Introduction: The early months of the year found Sevendust busy as usual, showing up on the high profile "Scream 3" Soundtrack in January and a compilation entitled "Free Air - Vol. 2: Music For Motocross" in February. They also squeezed in the time to shoot a video for their track "Waffle" before heading out on the road with Kittie, Shuvel and Papa Roach in February followed by treks with P.O.D. and Fu Manchu and Creed and 3 Doors Down in March. April was marked with a performance on the TV program Late Night With Conan O'Brien, while May included gigs alongside Coal Chamber and Slipknot. June then found them show up on the MTV sponsored "Return Of The Rock" compilation which took them into a choice spot on the Tattoo The Earth tour in July along with a live performance on the Farmclub.com TV show. Taking a short break in the fall, the group continued to flood stores, showing up on the Lynn Strait tribute album "Strait Up", the rap and rock compilations "Loud Rocks" and "Take A Bite Outta Rhyme" along with two live tracks on the Tattoo The Earth live album, "Tattoo The Earth: The First Crusade". Their contribution to the "Strait Up" album, "Angel's Son" later went on to become a breakout hit and as a result, a performance of the track on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno took place later in the year along with a short set of dates alongside Creed, before the band headed back home to get to work on writing the material for their new effort, which they plan to begin recording shortly. Given the bands lust for a grueling work ethic and ever rising status quo amongst the scene, it's safe to say that once their album hits late this summer, there will probably be nothing left in its path but dust. - wookubus Albums
