Introduction: Rising from the ashes of Tura Satana and Human Waste Project, Professional Murder Music made a small dent in the industry in late '99 after signing to Geffen Records and releasing their track "Slow" on the "End Of Days" Soundtrack, not to mention as an opener on a tour with Kid Rock and Powerman 5000. Early 2000 however saw the band lock themselves away in the studio with producer Josh Abraham (Orgy, theSTART) to track their major label debut. The recording sessions for which, found the band gain the assistance of some old friends as former Human Waste Project frontwoman and current theSTART vocalist Aimee Echo dropped in and made a guest appearance on the track "Does It Dream". Spending the better part of the spring mixing and putting the finishing touches on their album, an August release was then announced, although this date later slipped to Halloween and then to late spring 2001. But despite not even having a record in stores yet, the band headed out for a short jaunt on the Tattoo The Earth Tour in the summer and then again with dates alongside Halford in the fall. The winter months were relatively quiet although they did see the bands forthcoming first single "Slow" show up on the Dreamcast videogame "Jet Grind Radio" while early January was marked by two dates on Marilyn Manson's "Guns, God And Government" Tour. Now with 2001 ahead of them and the release of their debut imminent, the group are gearing up to hit the road shortly and will also show up on the "Valentine" Soundtrack which will land in stores in late January and also feature tracks from Orgy and the Deftones. Still, even though they have been faced by constant delays, the group have remained focused and professional and are more than qualified to steal the spotlight in 2001. - wookubus Albums
