Band: Flybanger |
Introduction: After stirring interest in their native Vancouver, BC scene when they were known as Jar, Flybanger finally made it to the next step earlier this year after signing a deal with Columbia Records and changing their name due to some legalities. The band then promptly headed to Los Angeles, CA where they recorded their forthcoming full length debut for the label, "Headtrip To Nowhere" with producer Matt Wallace (Faith No More). Once the record was taken care of, they headed out on the road playing dates with various groups such as Disturbed, Taproot, Liquid Gang, Ultraspank, Dope and Relative Ash before deciding to release an EP which consisted of previously independent released material in the fall. Entitled "Outlived", it served as a precursor to the their impending debut and with it leaving a lasting impression, they once again took to the road, this time alongside Clutch and Corrosion Of Conformity and toured through throughout the winter. Now, with the year drawing to a close, this quartet is set to finally release their new effort in February 2001 and it's a safe bet that they will be going anywhere but nowhere. - wookubus Albums
