Introduction: After releasing a limited number of their debut full length "Leitmotif" in 1999, the word steadily spread about about this CA based act, but things didn't seem to fully pick up until spring 2000 when they let loose another batch of the album to the public and as a result grabbed the PRP Band Of The Month slot in February 2000. After meeting and showcasing for various labels, the ever prolific act headed to the desert, where they locked themselves up in a house away from the stresses of everyday life and got to work on writing new material. The demos that followed as a result were nothing short of astounding and as the group continued to play local shows in and around the California area throughout the end of 2000, band member Gavin snuck into the studio to record a guest appearance on the forthcoming Alien Ant Farm album "ANThology". As January became a reality, the quartet signed a recording contract with Interscope Records and began preparations to hit the studio to record their heavily anticipated major label debut in the spring and although there has always been a certain mystique surrounding the band, this much can be truthfully spoken.
