Introduction: Downer may be a name new to many, but the group have been around since the early 90's and have released both an EP and a full length album independently during their time together. After slugging it out in Los Angeles, CA area clubs for quite sometime playing shows, one of which actually had Korn opening for them in the early 90's, the band finally found their calling after signing to Roadrunner Records in 1999. But despite being on the cusp of stardom, they found themselves in store for a bumpy ride as they went through many different drummers and bassist's throughout the year, although they manage to record their upcoming self titled full length release with producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath), during the turbulent times. Now, as 2000 winds down, the group have cemented what is hoped to be the final line-up and are preparing to release their latest effort internationally in April with relentless touring expected to follow. - wookubus Albums
