Introduction:
Dislocated Styles have spent the last few years releasing independent albums and playing shows in and around their native AZ scene to steadily creating a buzz and after continually improving and drawing more and more people, the band gained the attention of Roadrunner Records and subsequently landed a recording contract with the label in late '99. Spending the early months of 2000 writing new material, the band hit the studio in May with producer Howard Benson (Kottonmouth Kings, P.O.D.) to track their forthcoming debut for the label after various album title changes, "Pin The Tail On The Honkey" was finally recorded. Spending the fall and winter preparing for the road ahead of them while also mixing the album, the band are now set to release their latest effort in March and although some may say the crossing of rap, funk and rock is dead. This quirky six-piece have more than enough originality and witty humor to carry the torch for the hip hop oriented crowd well into 2001. - wookubus
