Band: American
Head Charge |
Introduction: American Head Charge kicked off the year playing a string of successful regional shows and announced plans to record a live album in February which they set for a summer release. All of this changed however, when the group caught the eye of producer Rick Rubin (Slayer, System Of A Down) in the spring. he was so interested in the group, that he signed them to his own Columbia Records imprint American Recordings in June. With a major label contract in hand, they then scrapped the plans for the live release and got down to business on writing new material for their new effort and headed to Los Angeles, CA in the fall to begin tracking the effort with Rick producing. All was seemingly well until October unfortunately found them parting ways with drummer Peter Harmon, who was replaced by band keyboardist/programmer Christopher Emery. In turn, Chris's vacant slot was filled by newcomer and longtime friend of the band Justin Fowler. Now, with the line-up solidifed and the album getting the finishing touches applied, it looks like May will be the month when America will be forced to fork over the dough to pay the charge or be crushed by this groups fierce industrial tinged sound. - wookubus Albums
